Peter Grosskopf

Managing Director

Peter Grosskopf has more than 29 years of experience in the financial services industry. At Sprott, he is responsible for strategy, and managing the firm's investment capital and lending business. His career includes a long tenure in investment banking, where he managed many strategic and underwriting transactions for companies in a variety of sectors. Prior to joining Sprott, Mr. Grosskopf was President of Cormark Securities Inc. He has a track record of building and growing successful businesses including Newcrest Capital Inc. (as one of its co-founders) which was acquired by the TD Bank Financial Group in 2000. Mr. Grosskopf is a CFA® charterholder and earned an Honours Degree in Business Administration and a Masters of Business Administration, both from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

Narinder Nagra

Managing Partner

Narinder Nagra is a Managing Partner of Sprott Resource Lending has overseen the origination and management of the resource lending business of Sprott Resource Lending since its inception. From June 2009 to November 2010, he served as Senior Vice President, Asset Management of Sprott Resource Lending's predecessor company, Quest Capital Corp. (“Quest”), where he managed and remediated Quest’s mezzanine loan portfolio of over 60 loans. In the period following the financial crisis of 2007/2008, Mr. Nagra successfully developed strategies to deal with the significant component of Quest’s portfolio comprised of distressed debt. From February 2006 to June 2008, Mr. Nagra served as the Chief Financial Officer of Quest. Prior to this, Mr. Nagra was involved with two advanced-stage exploration companies, Sutton Resources Ltd. and Canico Resources Corp., each of which were acquired by major mining companies. Mr. Nagra is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified General Accountant.

Jim Grosdanis

Managing Partner

Jim Grosdanis is a Managing Partner of Sprott Resource Lending and has managed the resource lending business of Sprott Resource Lending since its inception. Prior to the formation of Sprott Resource Lending, Mr. Grosdanis served as Chief Financial Officer of Quest, where he and Mr. Nagra managed, strategized and remediated the Quest loan portfolio. Previously, Mr. Grosdanis was a founding member of Dundee Bank of Canada as its Vice President of Operations where operations grew to more than C$1 billion prior to its acquisition by Bank of Nova Scotia. Since 1993, Mr. Grosdanis has held senior roles in the financial services industry, including CIT Group Inc. where he was tasked with restructuring the operations and the remediation of a C$200 million loan portfolio prior to leading the sale of the portfolio to a large multi-national finance company. Mr. Grosdanis is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario.

Greg Caione

Managing Partner

Greg Caione joined the Sprott Resource Lending team as a Partner in 2016. From 2007 to 2016, he was Head of Natural Resources, Americas at Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA NY). He has more than 25 years of investment banking experience lending to and advising clients on a range of project & corporate financings, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and restructuring transactions. He has completed more than 130 transactions with a combined deal value of US$100+ billion. Prior to joining CBA, Mr. Caione was a Director at BNP Paribas in the Project Finance & Utilities – Metals & Mining group. He was an Managing Director at Conway, Del Genio, Gries & Co. providing bankruptcy, corporate restructuring, M&A, and valuation advisory services from 2000 to 2005. From 1992 to 2000, Greg was an AD, Mining & Metals at Barclays Capital working in their New York City and London offices. Previously, Greg was a buy-side fixed income option arbitrage portfolio manager for Security Capital Management in Connecticut. Mr. Caione holds a BS/BA Finance degree from Villanova University.

Dušan Petković


Dušan Petković joined the Sprott team in 2012. Prior to Sprott, he spent three years as an Investment Banking Analyst at Blackmont Capital, an independent financial advisory firm with a focus on natural resources. He has worked on a variety of debt and equity financing as well as M&A transactions for clients across the precious metals, base metals and coal sectors. Mr. Petković earned a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Western Ontario, and he is a CFA® charterholder.

Chris Elliott

Director, Project Evaluation

Mr. Elliott has more than 30 years of experience in operations and consulting in the resources industry. At Sprott, he is responsible for technical evaluation of investment opportunities and ongoing monitoring of existing investments. Prior to joining Sprott, Mr. Elliott was a Principal Consultant with SRK in Vancouver, where he managed due diligence reviews, preparation of NI 43-101 technical reports and technical studies on a range of international projects. Prior to SRK, Mr. Elliott worked in an engineering/management capacity for Goldfields, Barrick, Normandy, Kennecott and several international consultancies. Mr. Elliott is a mining engineer and holds a WA First Class Mine Managers’ Certificate of Competency, and is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
