Tim Sorensen has more than 20 years of capital markets experience. He is the former President of Primary Capital Inc., an Exempt Market Dealer focused on advising and financing Canadian growth companies, with an emphasis on the resource sector. Prior to joining Primary, Mr. Sorensen was Head of Institutional Equity Sales for Macquarie Capital Markets Canada. He was an equity analyst for Dundee Securities before becoming an institutional equity sales representative. He currently sits on the board of Merus Labs International, Carrot Insights and Grapes for Humanity. Mr. Sorensen has a Bachelor of Commerce and MBA degrees, and is a CFA® charterholder.
David Wargo joined Sprott from GMP Securities where he was a Managing Director in the Investment Banking division, and worked as a research analyst prior to that. He has an industry background, having worked as a chemical engineer in the mining and oil and gas industries. Mr. Wargo has 10 years of industry experience and holds an MBA.
Scott Robertson has been an investment banker for Sprott Private Wealth LP since 2011, coordinating all of the firm's corporate finance and capital raising activities during that period. He was previously with Paradigm Capital Inc. in a similar capacity. Mr. Robertson is a Professional Engineer with a combined 18 years of experience in the oil and gas and financial service sectors.
Mark Souvenir joined Sprott from GMP Securities where he was based in New York, and has prior experience with Cormark Securities. Mr. Souvenir is a graduate of University of Western Ontario and holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business.
Brock Salier has worked as a publishing research analyst since 2006, most recently as CEO and Head of Research at GMP Securities Europe. He has a technical background having worked as a mining and exploration geologist in Australia, including stints with Placer Dome and Rio Tinto. Mr. Salier holds a Ph.D. (Distinction) and BSc (Hons), in economic geology from the University of Western Australia.
Alan Ridgeway has worked as a publishing research analyst for more than 10 years. Prior to joining Sprott Capital Partners he covered the Canadian healthcare sector at Scotiabank where he was ranked #1 by Greenwich Associates and #2 by Brendan Wood International. Prior to working in the capital markets, Mr. Ridgeway held a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School where he performed cancer research. Mr. Ridgeway holds a PhD in Biochemistry from Western University, an MBA from Queen’s University, and is a CFA® Charterholder.
Prior to joining Sprott, Daniella served as President and CEO and as CFO of Orvana Minerals, a multi-mine gold/copper producer, and as Executive Vice-Chair of Baffinland Iron through its acquisition for $600M following a hostile take-over bid. She also served as COO of Dundee Securities and in various corporate development roles including with Dundee and Raymond James. She is currently a director of Nexa Resources and Excellon, has been a director of Aldridge, Alloycorp, Orvana, Baffinland Iron (Vice-Chair) and Commonwealth Silver (Chair) and has chaired or been a member of various committees including Technical and Strategic Opportunities Committees. Ms. Dimitrov has a Global EMBA from Kellogg School of Management and Schulich School of Business and a law degree from Windsor University.
Marianne Jenkevice has 20 years of institutional capital markets experience. Marianne has direct experience with fixed income, equity and derivative instruments while acting on behalf of buy and sell side capital markets participants. She has been involved in sales, trading, settlements and liquidity management capacities. Ms Jenkevice holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University.
Felix Waechter is an exploration geologist by training and prior to joining Sprott Capital Partners he spent four years with First Quantum Minerals exploring for base metals mainly in the Andes and in sub-Saharan Africa. Mr. Waechter holds an M.Sc. (Distinction) from Imperial College London and a B.A. in Earth & Planetary Sciences from Harvard University.
