The investment banking division of Sprott Capital Partners (“SCP”) was formed in 2017 to provide full service advisory and capital raising services to natural resource companies.  In a very short period of time SCP has become a trusted partner to its issuers and institutional clients by leading a number of small and mid-cap mining equity offerings and M&A advisory mandates.  SCP is led by a team of seasoned investment banking professionals and is looking to add an Investment Banking Analyst to its corporate finance team.

Position Description

SCP is looking for a highly motivated full-time Investment Banking Analyst to join its team in Toronto. SCP provides candidates with an entrepreneurial and collaborative atmosphere; candidates will be hands on with clients and be given opportunities to grow with the group and advance their corporate finance career. Experienced candidates may be considered for the Investment Banking Associate role.

The primary requirements for this positon include:

  • 1 to 4 years of experience, ideally in investment banking, buy or sell side research, private equity or management consulting;
  • Resource/mining background preferred, engineering, geological or business undergraduate degree;
  • Superior presentation and financial modelling expertise, including valuation and M&A modelling;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; and
  • Execution expertise for the equity and debt raising process
